Hey Just got my new B. Coddington revolver 16*8 wheels & 285/75/16 Nitto Terra Grappler Tires and man oh man do they make the truck look different. :flag: Cranked up the torsion bars and had to do alot of trimming though. They rubbed in the front and the back not only that but I had to heat up the windshield washer container and mold it up out of the way as well. In the back I had to cut a little of the sheetmetal off and modify my huskey mudflaps as well But They now fit :( They look great I'll try and get some pictures up soon. I wonder why everyone else can fit them without any problems  ???  ???  Maybe the 2500 with snowplow prep is set up differently. I would have thought it would have been  sitting higher.  oh ya I also got it aligned after the torsion bar crank.

I will be installing the same Nitto tires you have next week on my 1500. I have heard nothing but positive things about these tires and I hope they work out for us. :(

Congrats on the new meats!  I'm sure you will love them.  As for the trimming, I didn't have to do any trimming on my truck but I have a 1500 so maybe you are right about the snowplow prep package on a 2500.  Who knows?

clk7711: AWESOME tires.  Check out my signature for pictures.

I'm not 100% why you had prob with the 285's but I'm guessing it has something to do with your new rim back spacing...but good looking truck and good luck with the new rubber be easy on them and hopefully they'll make it past 10,000 miles....lol  :(

I have a 2001 GMC 2500 HD Ext cab....Just bought some Weld Stone Crusher Wheels, 16x8 and got BFG AT KO's, 285-75-16's.  I had the same problem that you have....Posted it just last nite on the Heavy Duty part of this site......I also cranked the torsion bars some and had to trim my Husky Mud Flaps and actually had to take a hammer to the metal.....Figured that was better than cutting it.....I think it stinks that you buy a Heavy Duty truck and it comes with faggy tires and wheels to start, then you cant put anything with any decent size on them without lifting them....How much was your front end alignment??? I have to take mine in and get one done also.....Joe

The alignment cost me $39.95. Try my link I'll post some picks tomorrow.  I just took my angle grinder and cut off the metal in the way and then sprayed Zebart on the area.  I'll probably spray some of that expanding foam in the newly exposed area and shape it then spray some more Zebart.

WOW... those look great on the truck. I have been looking at them as a possible future replacement. The only issue I see is that they sure will throw a lot of crud up in that hole at the rear of the inner fender that you trimmed!

Looks mighty cool though!

    • Brought my 2015 Colorado into the dealership to check my touch screen issues, had that ghost touch thing happening. They said I needed a new touch screen and they could either order me one for $500. The lady at the service deck was nice enough to tell me I could order a touch screen online for less, she did stipulate that the touch screen had to be factory OEM, you can't pair an aftermarket screen to my radio seeing it was 2015, it had to be a GM factory OEM only. I found a few on Amazon and Ebay by the numbers on the back of the old screen, DJ080PA-01A GM# 22740886, Some said "OEM" in the description and others just said "Replacement". Would a replacement be the same as a OEM as long as it had the same numbers on the back of the screen? In some of the descriptions they also show different brand names but same numbers, is that an issue?
    • I have both but typically use the 4 legged walker (wheels on front, ski's on back).   The four wheeler is starting to be used on "longer" outdoor walks.  The 4 legged walker is particularly helpful in practicing good walking posture.  Both of my knees are at different stages of recovery and I'm trying to not develop poor habits.  I can actually manage with a cane but it's very difficult not to favor one leg over the other.  My PT recommends I continue with my 4 legged walker for a while.  Yesterday was four weeks since my last knee replacement and I'm excited about my progress to date.  It has been a hell of a rough journey so far but it is exciting to witness  systematic and continuous improvement.  I went for years watching the decline of my "mobility".  It seems that everyday now I am alerting my wife to something I can do now that I couldn't a day or two ago!  I encourage anyone facing the prospect of knee replacement to share any concerns with others who have had the surgery.  It isn't an instant fix but rather is a considerable amount of short term pain for long term gain.  Recovery time and pain levels vary for individuals post surgery but the end results are typically very positive and I've never encountered anyone regretting having had the surgery.
    • The lifter issue can be dealt with by shorter oil changes and quality oil IMO.
    • Got heavy rain, hail and light rain yesterday.
    • I'm putting in an A-pillar pod/gauges, and I'm asking if anybody can identify a (preferably) fuse for a switched power and illumination circuit on the driver's side interior fuse panel. Offhand, everything I checked with a test light was constant-hot, and I'd much rather uses a piggyback fuse. I can certainly find a wire, but I'd rather not half-tap.   Thanks in advance for any help.
