Whats The Normal Temp For A 5spd Allison..not Towing

Just curious what the temp should be for the allison daily driving with no load?

I was at almost 200 today, after 20-25 mins of running..slight hills.. 75 ish outside temp

My 6spd D/A will see near 200 in stop and go sometimes. If driven enough.

05 duramax work truck will be 180 to just under 200 if warm( 90 or above) and in hilly terrain at highway speeds. sounds about normal

Its got 104,000 on it so im getting ready for a flush/service, im surethat would help it run a little cooler,

Sounds normal. Unloaded, my '05 runs at 180-200 normally and up to 215 on a hot day going thru some hills.

Its funny today i wasdriving and it stayed around 160... nothing different from the other day.

So why one day 190 and one day 160 with the same driving conditions??

A lot of stop and go makes a difference.
