Learned a lot from this site and a few others. Best tip i can think of, use google to search the site not the forum search.

clean your truck weekly, interior and exterior. dont drive fast, when you drive fast you put more wear and tear on everything.

if you do all that, you should have a solid vehicle in decent condition by 100,000 miles.

Keep your engine clean, clean the underside whenver you wash the truck, change fluids frequently, fix any problem ASAP, never let your balls overule your brain, drinking and offroading dont mix, make 4 trips to the hardware store instead of hauling all the rock/concrete/wood at once, check your tire pressure when you fill up, check under your hood when you fill up, go through your truck with a fine tooth comb after the winter, factory parts are always better than mexican/chinese knockoffs. These things have kept my vehicles running great at whatever mileage they were at.

what I've learned?

it's cheaper in the long run to pay a professional to detail the vehicle top to bottom at least once every 2 months..

it is far more expensive to buy all the crap and waste my whole saturday doing it, in addition if I screw up my paint I can't beat myself up (ok I could but I might look silly)..

I wash it and vacuum it once a week, but the complete detail is done by a professional, and luckily I have a guy that is more anal about detailing my truck than I am, he even gets under it and cleans out all the road grime from the frame, and takes the wheels off to clean the brake dust off the insides.. all for $120.. can't beat that..

Old Guy (maybe in his late 60s) from Harlem.. been in this location since 1984.. Very Detailed and Knowledgeable Guy, good prices and hands down the most trust-worthy detailer I have used.. His shop doesn't look like much, basically an old Quick Oil Change place, but he owns the property so has very low overhead..
