Abs Dtc - C0223 On 2 Trucks.. What Gives?

Hey everyone,

 

I'm getting a weird symptom on two vehicles at the same time. "DTC C0223 - Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor - Signal Erratic" Both of my GM trucks are giving me the same code, and I've replaced the WSS on the Silverado, still no change. I can read live data with my scan tool, and all three speed sensors are reporting normally. For some reason, under 5mph, after traveling 30+mph, the right front isolation and dump valve will activate. Anyone have experience with this?

Excessive air gap between the right front wheel speed sensor and it's tone wheel in the hub bearing. Clean the wss to hub bearing mounting surface off to clean metal and try again.

I did see that TSB on alldata. Appreciate the quick answer, will try that and post back.

Excessive air gap can be caused by a loose hub bearing as well. Make sure and check that also.

If all else fails, grab the C4 and run like hell. Lol
