Ok so I'm new and I really need a straight answer. My wife rolled (she ok thank god) my 2003 silverado and the motor and tranny is still good. My friend has a 2002 with the same motor and tranny but he dropped a valve and the tranny is bad, but his truck is in good shape. Is it plausible to remove my good motor and tranny and install it in the other truck? Does this make sense to anyone? Thanks guys

Welcome! Glad everyones ok. Sounds like it would make sense. I would think they would swap.

There are differences from the 02-03.. but still should be an easy swap. You'll need the throttle body from the 02, but most of the other stuff should plug right in.
