2" Zone Front/rear Lift.

As the topic title states. I'm thinking of pulling the trigger on the complete front and rear 2" Zone lift because I like the rear to sit 1 to 1-1/2" higher than the rear and from my measurements, the 2" Zone leveling kit will do just that, level it near equal. Sorry, I don't like the look of my trucks dragging ass when I'm hauling something and I want the front higher than it currently is, so if I have to go with the complete 2" lift, I will. I like the looks of the Zone stuff, and they're local boys, so that's where I'm going for it.

Anybody?

Figures...... That's what I get for being lazy, thanks. :D

Looks about right to me so that might just be a done deal. The woman should be happy as well (read: sarcasm) because she's already got to jump to get in the truck with it being stock. Can't wait to hear her response after I

lift it. :)

BTW, you ready to buy another truck yet?

I wouldn't consider that lazy at all bud, I just happened to know exactly where to find that one. :D Oh I hear you to the fullest extent on the woman, my girlfriend is 4'11" and I have to help her into my truck. :) I have never heard the end of it since it went up 3.5 inches.

UGH, I would love to buy another truck but times are a lil tough right now. I have actually pondered selling my dream truck, this one, to cut some bills. If I have to do that then you will surely hear from me but, I'm just praying it doesn't come to that.

On a lighter note throw that lift on there and post some pictures!

Mine is 5'5"-ish tall and the first time I let her drive the truck, she used the steering wheel as a grab handle to drag herself in the driver's seat and I just about lost it, no joke. I'm not into steps or bars but it might come down to either that or a rope ladder that drops out when she opens the door, real soon.

It's still for sale, for some stupid reason, and while I don't feel like I should have to give it away, that time is coming quickly. It needs to go to help pay off some stuff so that the new truck is affordable. I'm not going to give up the new truck and take a huge wash on it, no way, no how.

As soon as the old truck sells, I will! :D

Oh how similar our ladies are to one another. My girlfriend did the same exact thing getting in to move the truck one morning while I was mowing. I almost fell off the mower when I saw it. She once told me to get a step ladder and keep it in the toolbox, I hate step bars also.

If you have more pictures of the truck PM me and I'll give you my email. If I can't buy it I will surely put out the word since you are decently close, not sure where in Michigan but I have family in Livonia. I work as a construction project manager and guys are always looking for older reliable trucks.

I'm really not in too bad of a bind right now, but I rent a farm house from my family and put A LOT of work into it myself before I moved in. I am hoping to purchase it in the next year or so, but my college loans are sucking a major portion of my budget. My gf is in dental school and lives 3 hours away from me so I rack up the miles and gas kills me too. I just think it is time to maybe sacrifice for what is more important. I can always get a nice truck down the road, but I most likely will not have the opportunity to get a house like this for the price.

Anyway, sorry for the life story... Send me some pictures if you have them and I'll distribute as I can.

I too have family in Livonia but live nearly 100 miles due north of there. Will do with the pics, I appriciate it.

It's going in Michigan Auto and RV this week as well. I too am not seriously pinched but all this is cutting into my

play money as well so it has to go.

Funny you should post this, i've been looking at the exact same kit and have been talking back and forth with the TheRod that has the truck in the above link. His truck is what made up my mind to pull the trigger on it. I'm going to be ordering it tomorrow so should have it on real soon. I'm going to be running 285/65/18's on my factory wheels. Should look great. Pictures are very hard to tell though, I wish I could see it in person.

I agree. I'd love to take measurements off from mine and compare them to his, side by side to be 1000% sure but, as soon as the money is there, I'm just going to put it in and try it anyway. It's an easy install and considering that I've installed literally 100's of lift kits, this is no big deal to me and can come right back out if I don't like it.

I will be running stock wheels/tires until next spring on mine so it may look a little goofy because of that but I won't buy the wheels/tires until I can get exactly what I want, either.

fyi, I just measured mine in the garage the other night for another member here.

Front 39"

Rear 38-3/4"

RC 2" leveling kit with 305/50r20's Measurements are from the ground up to the center of the fender lip.

Mine was 38-3/4" rear and 36" front when I checked the same measurements just this past weekend, in the driveway so yeah, close. Adding the extra 3/4" in the rear that the Zone 2" rear block adds would put me about where I want to

be. Now you guys have me afraid that it will look like crap with the factory wheels and tires still on it though.....LOL.

It wont look like crap.....

It will just look like you need a bigger tire.

Yeah it won't look like crap at all. I ran a 275/65/18 Revo 2 with my 2" level and 1.5" body lift until I saved enough to put the TG's on. It just looked like an HD with 265's on it, nothing to be worried of.

Edit: Found a picture of that setup FYI. It isn't the best quality but you get the idea.

Cool, thanks.

You should have a PM too, btw. :)

OK gents, let me cough up ALL the plans that I REALLY have for this thing so this might make more sense. This is level 70, super top secret, BTW......

1. This truck NEEDS to come up a bit to look correct, imo.

2. Next spring, I plan to locate and purchase a set of factory '08 Silverado 20" wheels. Love the looks of them, period.

3. Then, the factory 18's will be winter wheels/tires and will retain the factory Bridgestones until they no longer exist due to death by 6.2l engine. They will then, most likely, be replaced with a set of Bridgestone Blizzak's for winter use only.

4. Add to that, that although I really only NEED a street tire on the 20" wheels, they will most likely have some form of A/T type tire on them and in a larger than factory size, sooner or later.

Hopefully, that clears things up a bit.
