Motor/awd Swap

Im about to pickup a totaled 03 silverado ss, mostly because i wanted to do a motor swap with my 02 silverado 1500 2wd. Now ive never heard of this working out, but i wanted to see if it was possible to add the awd from the ss and put it in the 1500. Im really anxious to try it just because i like the challenge, but im wondering if would have fitment issues with the transfer case and all. And also if its better to do a suspension swap, or if it would be better to just go with custom fab suspension whatevers cheaper. Thanks for the input if all goes as planned ill get some pictures of the progress.

I once looked into doing a 4x4 swap on a 2wd truck. Found out that unless you have a huge budget and are really good at custom work, then its not worth the time and money. If you have alot of time and money anything can be done, and personally, I'd love to see a awd swap, so post up picks if you do start this project.

the biggest issue you will have is mounting the front diff. the cross member is a one off for the SS AWD front diff. will not interchange even with a standard 4X4 front diff. if the hole front clip is not damaged, then just remove the 2X front and replace with the 03's from the T-bars foreword. as for the motor swap take the motor and wiring harness, ECM peddle, harness, and a few outer things i forgot right now..
