thinking about installing some add-a-leaf's to my 2011 sierra. i have found a couple of brands but i thought there would be more to choose from. im looking for a little lift from them, and when im carrying materials to and from my construction site(s) that my truck sits level. any input would be great

I put a set of Tuff Country springs on mine when I installed my leveling kit. I wanted to maintain the factory rake after lifting the front. They did that. And, when I load the bed or pull my father-in-laws heavy a$$ fiberglass boat, it will only lower the truck to level. Not rear end sag. As far as I can tell, they are all pretty much the same. I went with what was cheaper. Just make sure you get a set that are brand name, and have a good warranty.

Did you notice a difference in the ride with the add-a-leaf?

I put Air-Lifts on mine. As you can see in the pic below, I'm able to keep a nice height with 500# of trailer tongue weight and probably 500# in the bed of the truck (including the shell). When the truck is empty, I can lower the rear if I want but I seldom do because the truck is used exclusively for towing.

Hi,

You've probably noticed Air Lift signed on as a sponsor recently. We'd be interested in hearing how you like the Air Lifts after you've had them on for a while. Thanks!

Didnt notice a lot of change, except when towing. It is a little more stable with decent loads. I dont overload my truck, but the 1985 Raycraft 17' fiberglass bass boat is pretty dang heavy.

My opinion on a rough ride may not be a good basis fr comparison, because this is the first half ton truck Ive owned since my first truck (87 Ram 150) that I bought in 99. Everything else has been 2500.

Hi Mike,

I've been using AirLifts for 3 years on 2 different trucks. I love them. They work as described. They compensate for an amazing amount of load on my '06 1500. I've only made one long trip (200 miles) without the trailer. When I let the air down to ~20#, the truck rides a little nicer but for the most part they add lift without taking away the comfortable ride that these trucks are famous for.
