2007 Vortec Max - Starting Issue

I have an 07 current body style Vortex Max edition with 84,000km on it. Today after running across town to pick up welder parts, I got in, started it ran for 5sec and quit? I re-started it which was easy and totally normal with no issues. It did it again later in the day, both times were identical. Start, quit, re-start and fine. Runs fine, oil is synthetic and changed within 1000km? My only thought is that it was the hottest day of the year so far (31C) and obviously the A/C was on. Fuel pump isn't whining, I don't get it. Any ideas, never happened before, now 2X in one day?

Thanks,

I'm having somewhat of the same problem. 07 Vortec Max. When mine starts for a second and cuts off the A/C and clock get reset. Taking it to the dealer tomorrow. Have a feeling they're not going to know what's wrong since it doesn't do it every single time I go to start it. Did you find out what was causing your problem?

Sounds like you may possibly have a bad ground. That would be the only thing I could think of that would reset the clock and ac. Are your battery terminals free of corrosion and tight?
