2004 Silverado Driver's Side Mirror Not Diming....please Help!

Hey guys. So on my 2004 Silverado 1500, the driver's side rea rview mirror suddenly stopped dimming at night. The mirror was never hit or is not damaged whatsoever. Everything else on the mirror works fine (side marker, electronic adjustments and auto fold, etc.) I didn't think it was that big of a deal at first but it was such a nice feature, especially with those blinding HID lights! I tried searching for a fuse or something thinking it was electronic but found noting. I know a replacement is rather expensive and a few people said all I needed to do was replace the glass. Can someone please help! Thanks!!!

Do you have anything blocking the rear window? Mine stopped working when I put a topper on with limo black tint in the windows. I know that it still works (the rear and driver side mirrors dimming), because when I have the topper off it works.

The auto side mirror dim is one of my favorite features! Didn't even know I had it when I bought it. I suspect that just replacing the glass will be expensive, hope not.

Nope :/ nothing blocking the window. It's funny though, I used to have a back rack on it and it worked fine. Then right around the time I took it off, it stopped working! I wonder if the sensor for the side mirror is the same as the sensor for the rear view mirror. Then again, my rear view mirror works fine....

I have a OEM Replacement Glass available if you need one...its from a 2006 Yukon. (I sell a few parts on the truck board here)

I really have a hard time figuring out why it would just stop working though....are you sure the button on the rearview mirror in the cab didn't get bumped turning off the auto dim feature...there isn't anything blocking the rearview mirror on the front side sensor either is there..

Let me know I can help you with this glass if that is the route you have to go. I'd like $125 shipped...
