1999 Sierra Broken Heater Core Inlet/outlet

Recommended Posts

Posted

One of the hoses snapped off the inlet or outlet of the heater core attachments at the firewall. The hose on the driver's side broke off with the remainder of the heater core attachment still inside the hose.

Do I need to replace the heater core or is there another fix for this. Also, any ideas on a repair bill. I have a Chilton and have done some repairs myself but replacing a heater core may be beyond me.

Those are quick disconnect fittings. Remove them and install new ones or connect hoses directly to the HC pipes, then use hose clamps
