Need Help Upgrading Nav In 2011 Sierra

Hi all, new to the forum. I have searched, but not much on the topic of upgrading to a nav unit in 2011 sierra. I am wanting the factory nav unit, can anyone point me in the right direction as far as getting the right nav unit for this truck? I want to be able to keep all steering wheel controls,USB, xm, BT, OnStar, etc... working. I have a 2011 Sierra with Bose system. No backup camera, but would like to maybe install one if compatible with OEM nav. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Look at the Advent - it does everything you want except retaining the factory USB port (comes with its own).

I have a 2011 Silverrado 3500HD Diesel Crew Long LTZ. I just installed the factory nav "19153971". Very clean install, keeps the existing XM Radio Module and all factory features.

I looked at Kenwood and Advent but did not find the performance of the units acceptable. I was not interested in improving the stereo. My goal was to have a seemless install

and keep all factory features. The aftermarket units are not instant on and have a delay before starting. The Nav displays are not the same as the factory unit and I much

prefer the factory nav display. I was able to have the factory new nav unit installed cheaper than any aftermarket unit.

Just my 2 cents!!!

Chris where did you get your nav system? I can't find any info on that part number you listed. I also want the oem nav for my 2011 Sierra slt with Bose. Sounds like the one you used should work in mine. Also where did you mount the gps antenna? Thanks

My nav radio was ordered from my Chev dealer for $1695 and two hours labor to install. The nav part number is GM 19244269 and is the DVD capable nav unit for 2011 GM trucks.

The unit supports USB and is a kit including the GPS antenna, and all wiring harness components to install the unit.

i gotta disagree with you. you did not pay less for the OEM unit, than an Advent. in fact you paid $695+ more than i did for my Advent OGM1 nav unit. i installed it myself within 30 minutes, and i'm no pro radio installer.

it was plug and play, aka "seamless", it came with all the wire adapters, retains the factory XM, radio controls, bluetooth. all other aftermarket navs, except the Rosen unit, require XM adapters, radio control adapters, bluetooth adapters, etc.. to be compatible. thats why there costs are a lot more than the OEM unit

its all personal preference. for me, having a non-Bose truck, this was the easiest way to go. the start up delay doesn't bother me at all, and the nav gets me from point A to point B without a problem.
