Tailgate

Was taking the trailer off the hitch the other day and my son jumped on the back of the trailer and it blasted the back of my tailgate. I tried to have a dent guy pull them out but still looks terrible. Anyone know a place to get a oem tailgate at a good price. I found them for $155 but then they want $127 for shipping.Going to have my paint guy paint it. DOnt want to buy because want to make sure it is rust free. Thanks for the help

You say you want to buy then you are having it painted? So are you looking for a tailgate or are you having your painted?

 

I see them on craigslist around here all the time (probably stolen )

 

What year truck? Color?

Why not have your paint guy finish repairing yours? Someone dented the back of mine, metal menders removed most of the dent and my paint guy fixed the rest and painted it. No one can find the dent now.

The tailgate I have now has some rust on the inner inside lip where no one can see. But in central new york winters i know this will be an issue so instead of screwing around I'd rather just get a new one. My truck is a 2008 in SIlver Birch
