the hildabrandt light bars are hard to get. i have a black for an 800 if you want it, just pay shipping.

 

the 07/08 bar fits great on my 09, i just had to drill one more hole, not a big deal. they sent me the wrong one and let me keep it, then sent me the stainless one without charging more!

 

look at their dealer list, i choose a dealer in Montana that was a great place to deal with, they got me what i wanted when many of them would not even consider dealing with me.

 

call these guys, they were great!

i installed 2 hella 500s in the euro or combo pattern and love them. i am planning on 2 light force long range lights for the center mounts. I used neoprene washers on the top and rubber gasket washers on the bottom of the mounting bolts of my lights. they do not shake a bit going off road and i are easy to adjust and do not move all over the place when driving off road.

 

i mounted my relays next to the fuse box on the inner fender. i ran wire in an existing firewall grommet and under the dash. the power for the switches uses RAP power and the lights are powered from the relay from the 12v stud on the underhood fuse box, also i fused each light circuit from the relays also. i have 2 circuits for 2 lights each.

 

i used a 4 inch section of 1 in alum. angle and mounted 2 lighted switches in it, then mounted it to the side of my center console. it is an out of the way spot and i did not have to drill holes in my plastics.

ive got 2 switches as you see, each switch turns all 4 on, but, one switch is wired into my high beams and the other is always hot,

on of the switches that came with the lights was bad so i had to take the bottom switch out of my old truck, only problem is new switch is green led and old switch is red

Well they sent me a stainless steel Hilderbrant paid $200, they sent the wrong one it was for a 2003-2006 they said it would fit the new trucks... not...

 

anyone want to buy it? Brand new - here is a stock photo say $150 plus shipping, it weighs 15 lbs

hah... that's exactly what they did to me, but i complained enough that i got them to send me the correct one and they told me to keep the other. ended up selling it for shipping cost.

Thanks Bones30, decided to get a bull bar. having trouble getting the lights up high enough to shine out further, might need to go with 4" lights.

 

wired the lights to the overhead factory switch that is part of the plow package... worked great!

 

Wonder if the KC daylighters work, because they are more of an egg shape and will sit further out from the bar?

      Here's the second UOA on my 22 Wrangler with the Ecodiesel. This has 5k miles on AMSOIL Signature Series DEO 5w-40. The first one was dealer installed oil, no clue what it was, the second is what AMSOIL recommended, European FS 5w-40, Most of the Ecodiesel world is showing great results using the European MS 5w-40, I figured I would see how the DEO works. This is using an Ecoguard oil filter. It's my understanding this engine likes to shed aluminum.  We will see. So far I don't think this is too bad.

      I'm surprised nobody seems to offer a solution like the start/stop device I put in my new truck. Remembers my setting when shutdown. And while it still starts up in start/stop, it stores/evaluates what mode it was in when shut down and will change it whithin a second or 2 of startup. It'd be nice to have something like that for the DRLs.

      2015 Sierra 1500 here. Leaks from the sunroof to front driver side and soaks carpet. How do I fix this? Thanks!

      I will be doing that for sure, but I need to solve who has/ where I can find a bidirectional scan tool that will support OBD 1.5. I'm kicking myself because I ebay'ed a Snap On MT2500 that I didn't think I'd ever need anymore. D'oh!! I'd rather not buy another, so I'll contact a few local shops to see if they have one and how much they'd want to do the procedure. I'd rather have the ability to do it myself... I wish there was a modern tool that could do it all, but I'd have no idea what to buy.   The theory with the pulled timing is that it mimics a rich condition. The delayed spark causes incomplete burn and the O2 sensor picks up low oxygen levels. That's interpreted as a rich condition so the PCM pulls fuel and that shows up in the deeply negative fuel trims.
