Need Some Advice On Removing The Dash Panel Closest To The Front Winds

Vehicle is an "07" XL Denali. The piece of plastic trim on the top of the dash where it marries up to the bottom of the front windshield, approx. 6" in depth and running roughly the width of the dash that the defroster vents are in (and what I assumed is the "eye" for the remote sensor) has a nasty rattle in it and I want to remove it to cushion the rattle. I'm not sure if it just snaps off and I'm not applying enough force or if there some trick to it.
