Mossberg 835 Home Defense Barrrel?

Anyone here know if there is a 18.5 inch barrel available for the mossberg 835? I have read some gun forums that say the barrel from a 590a may fit, has anybody tried this? I love the gun, but would like to make it a home defense shotgun for the off season.

I looked into this.

I had the 835 utli-mag from mossberg. I read somewhere that if you call mossberg, they might be able to help you out.

 

 

 

I'm glad you like the gun, but I traded mine for a 870 supermag, mainly because the 835 blew apart on me. The stock was of poor construction as well. It's not a very good gun (pump was wobbly as well), now thats just my opinion..

 

 

I just like how mossberg has their safeties on top, that was the main reason I first bought it.
