Cab Drone

For some reason I am getting a lot of cab drone when driving about 35 mph. I dont know if this is a problem, just seeing if it has happened to anyone else. Everything is stock. The truck seems to be running well and I havent noticed a difference, it just gets really loud. Would this just be the exhaust?

Could be a number of things but it sounds a lot like a bulletin for the NBS trucks to install a flex coupling in the exhaust for the same reason

Could be a good reason to get a new exhaust!

Quite as a mouse..... Thanks to a several boxes of dynamat. The doors slam shut nothing rattles and kills road noise. You can see very little white paint inside the cab of my truck with everything removed.........

 

The doors have it on the exterior skin on the inside.... then they have a layer where the plastic vapor barrier use to be.

Roof has it above the headliner.

Floor has it.

Back wall, Firewall.

Under the hood / above the insulation.

Its on the inner wall of the fenders in the front......

 

I rode in a BMW that somebody had done in dynamat before and after..... After the dynamat install on that BMW, I put it on my truck. Its just quite expensive thou... but if road noise bugs you..... Or rattles..... This will solve the problem.
