03 Silverado Blower Motor Issue W/ Fuses

Hey guys,

I've done the searching and found one of my problems to be the blower motor resistor. When I pulled it, the board was charred, so that thing was definitely hosed up. So I replaced that and the 30A fuse that controls it.

 

When I first tried it out, as soon as I switched from position 0 to 1, then 30A popped again. I ohmed out the back of the HVAC control module switch and nothing is shorted together or to ground. Also, none of the wires going from the back of the control switch to the resistor and shorted together or ground.

 

So I unplugged the wires going into the resistor to try to measure voltages coming out of the switch. 30A fuse popped again.

I'm out of ideas and looking for help...

did u replace the connector that goes to the resistor??

 

i would think you would have seen the burnt/melted terminals ...

there is a campaign about your problem and would have been free if ya had takin it in ....

 

i must have done a thousand of them lol before the campaign...

No, didn't see any problems... found out the tan wire is shorted to gnd so that's what's popping the fuses, i hope...

 

I guess it's too late now.. .
