2002 Silverado 2wd Suspension Lift?

My Chevy has served me well for 100k now, and I'm looking to get rid of that "stock" look and give a little more functionality. I understand using spindles and blocks to level it out, but I realize there may be some other options as well, such as coil spacers and body lifts. Fact is, I don't know too much about those options way out here. I want to put the most reasonable amount of lift possible without making it look like I'm compensating for something.

 

Shocks are also shot, would I be moneys ahead to just go with this Rough Country 3" kit or are there better options.
