Bone Stock 2011 6.2 Baseline Runs

Well last weekend i went to the track to do some drag racing on the bikes and decided to unhook the trailer and make a few passes on the truck. I wanted to get a few base line runs before i did anything to it. Truck is a 2011 crew cab ltz 20in wheels, didnt do any tricks to it, stock as stock can be still had gear and tools in the box. It ran a few 14.6s and a few 14.7s @ 93-94 mph. Pretty happy with the stock results, was really hoping to see some 14.5s stock but that will do. I will be getting a bb tune in the near future.

3.42 gears. No i wasnt up at rock falls, i was thinking about going because i was bored and wanted to see if running on e85 would make any difference.

It's should But make sure you run a tank thru first before making the run so the PCM adjusts.

Did you launch 2wd or 4wd? Did you brake torque at all?

 

I have the NHT, which has 3.73 gears. I have a buddy who has a 96 firebird formula convertible who wants to race. How do you think I will do?

I launched in 4x4. You will beat the firebird for sure if its stock or close to it. I actually ran a mid 90s lt1 camaro with a cam and bolt ons and i got him on the tree pretty good and he was catching me but couldnt run me down by the end. He ran 13.5 to my 14.6 I went 94 he went 102mph. Also had a great run with a newer monte carlo ss with the 5.3. We ran door to door i had him by fender at the end, my 14.70 to his 14.76. The guy just looked over and scratched his head wondering why he couldnt run a truck down lol !

What's a little depressing is there was a stock ecoboost F-150 at the track Saturday (in Wi) running 14.4's @ 94/95mph. His last runs he removed his tailgate, and spare and ran a 14.1@95.

Wow, i wouldnt think taking off the gate and spare would do that much. I had about 200pds worth of crap in the back, guess i should have taken it out lol. Id like to take tall the stuff out,maybe run in 2wd and try some of those tricks and see what id do. Was the ecoboost stock ? Definealty the fastest one ive heard of. I might have to go to rf sat and test it out !

I can believe the ecoboost if it were not a crew cab 4wd. I ran a [email protected] when a similar ecoboost truck was running 14.9s at a little over 90. It was impressive but I think a similarly configured 6.2 would be faster. I have heard of stock 6.2 2wdwould trucks running 14.2@96 on the speed limiter.

I know a guy who is running 14.2's STOCK (extended cab on 22's!) with 3:42's. He said it took his truck around 3000 miles to "wakeup" and then became a freak.

Mine is a cc with 20s, yours is moving ! That is what id like to run soon. What bolt ons do you have ? I just got the airaid intake tube-filter and black bear tune. Looking at cal speed 1 7/8 headers when they are released.
