Vortec Max 6.0 No Muffler?

a guy i work with has a flowmaster 50 series on his 2500 hd, and it was way louder and deeper than my 40 series, and my super 44 on my 4.8. the 6.0 is way louder than the 5.3 and 4.8 ( i ran straight pipes, and 50 series on my 5.3).

 

if it was me i would go with a magnaflow muffler, larger than the smallest oval one or the FM 50 series.

I have a completely factory setup with all the cats and resonators in place with the exception of a piece of 3" pipe where the muffler use to reside. IMO it sounds great, no drone and enough noise to satisfy from idle to WOT and was economical to do vs. buying a $150 muffler or $500 cat back system. No it wont be that loud i had a true dual straights on my LT1 that thing was loud but a single exhaust with no muffler wont be that loud unless your running no cats.
