Service Engine Soon Code 35 5.7l help

Hey everyone. I came here seeking help with my 95 K2500. I have a service engine soon light that comes on after idling for a while... I checked the code with a paperclip test and its showing code 35, Idle Control Valve. I went to the dealer and bought and installed the valve. NO luck. I traded it in on another one and still no luck. I've replaced the air filter and the fuel filter already.  I've also replaced the oxygen sensor.  Please help, any advice?

you need to hook up a scanner and see what the valve is doing it may be a ECM messing up.

Did you happen to check your gas cap make sure it is tight

The gas cap is one of the rotate 'til clicks variety and this problem has been going on for weeks...  I'll look into hooking it up  to a scanner. Should I pay $85 for diagnostics at the dealer?
