i know, sorry for another stupid lift thread. i have been trying to figure out what size tires and rims would be the best size if i had a 6inch lift...

what size tire is ok with what size rim and what offset should i get?

and are there any good places to get tire and rim combos online?

and if i got this lift, what else would i need? (having shop install)\

Most lifts require a wheel with 4.5" of backspacing, but you need to figure out what backspacing they recommend with this lift. A wheel with 4.5" of backspacing 8" wide will make the wheel sit pretty flush with the fenders. Any more backspacing and you run the risk of the wheel hitting the knuckle.

a friend of mine installed a 7" on his 2011 gmc and was able to fit 38" tires (quite a bit of trimming, and they would rub if in a bind). i think the older body style handles larger tires without rubbing a little better, but im not sure.

Most trucks like yours will be able to run a 35" tire with a 6" lift....as long as you use the correct offset/backspacing with your rims. If you stay with 16" rims, 315/75/16 is a good tire size.
