New Sierra owner here with questions/opinions

Hey all, Been searching for a truck to tow car to the track for the past year or so and those who wait get a deal..... I offered on several trucks ranging from 2005-2011 and had 3 deals fall thru as I headed out of town for purchase. Well a good friend (Car salesman) calls me and says dealer is offering one hell of a deal on new.

Walked out with a 2012 Sierra crew cab SLT 4x4 in White Diamond loaded up nicely. Gave me one hell of a deal alright and very happy with my purchase/dealer.

Im looking to add Running boards or nerf bars to the truck and need opinions, Pro or con, on what to go with. I really like the warranty ill get if I have dealer install there Equipment But, not sure if I want to go with the GM 6" oval running board, 3" round nerf bars or Aftermarket setups. Anyone have a White Diamond truck with 3" nerf bars or 6" oval boards they can post pics of??

I can tell you this... the 6" will offer more side protection than the 3"... and why I run mud flaps to help protect. Big congrats on the new truck. I've been a big fan of the GM 3" bars and I've got the same set from my 07 moved to my 11... so they are more than 6 years old and they still look new.
