2007 Avalanche 285/60 R18 +10mm - Will it rub/look stupid thread...

I'm going to get out the measuring tape this weekend to try and figure all this out, but thought I would ask the forum for your input.

Here's what I'm thinking for my stock 2007 Avalanche 2WD:

- Colormatched Bushwacker pocket flares (I have a major door ding that I'm covering up)

- Bilstein 5100's with adjustable (1.75") fronts

- Enkei ST6 Gunmetal 18" x 8.5" 10mm offset

- 285/60 R18 AT tires (Toyo, Cooper, etc)

I have 2 questions at this point:

1. Will I have any rubbing/clearance issues with this combo?

2. Will the rims push the tires out enough to where it won't look stupid with the additional 2.5" poke out of the Bushwacker flares?

Thanks for any input.

Welcome to the site.

Sounds like a nice setup. I don't think you'll have rubbing issues. Espeically since you have the adjustable front shocks. Not sure about the 10mm offset. I'm sure others can help with that. I know if they are less than 5.5" of backspacing they should be fine.

Post photos when you get everything installed

Thank you sir.

I'm hoping the 10mm will push the tires out enough to the outside to accomodate the bushwackers.

That particular rim comes in a 10, 20 and 35 offset. So if I'm understanding correctly, the 10 pushes it out the most.

With the +10 offset your wheel and tire set up will stick out 1.2" furter than factory with a 31.5" tall tire... so I don't think you should have any issues. Should look good. Now we wait to see the finished product! :lurk:
