Hey just my 2 cents worth............

Sounds like we are all up in the front Range that could be going to this thing......... I'm from Eaton, which colokid should know where that is  :)

This silverado dude is from Loveland, so why not jam somewhere local instead of driving all the way to longmont, however that is where I bought my truck from.......  Herbert motors rules.  And Weld County Garage service center is the bomb...........

2002 GMC Sierra SLT Z71 2 weeks old.........

Future mods

Gibson Dual Side Swept exhaust

Amber DRL's

High 4 light kit

Chrome wheel moldings (Install tomorrow)

Let me know and maybe we could go to sportscasters in Fort collins or somewhere else?

I set it up for Longmont because 97Z71 and colosilverado (who has the coolest name in the forum!) both work there.

If you want to set one up feel free...so far it looks like there may only be two of us in Longmont on the 13th, but there's still time....

I still plan on being there. Our company is moving into our new building that weekend, down south of town. My brain will will hopefully be functioning that day.You know, new routine and that type of thing....

Isn't Eaton where Classical Gas is? I usually run up that way and out eat on 392 to go shooting.

Platteville looks like a decent little town, too.

Yeah Eaton is where clasical gas is at.  I actually live about 2 miles straight east of clasical gas.  Where do you go shooting at?  What do you shoot?  Are you a hunter?  Maybe we could hook up sometime and go shooting.  I"m a member at the Galeton shooting range, and also know quite a few shotgun places.  Let me know and maybe we can setup a shooting weekend instead....

Have a goodin.........

So far it looks like colosilverado, 97Z71 and I are going to be there. :uhoh:  Anyone else?

By the way cowboy02...the Eat'n Place is not bad at all, but not necessarily better than the Double-Tree. :P

The Ace Hardware store up there is one of my haunts, and one of the best there is.  If we had one of those in Platteville I might never drive north! :thumb:

I'll also agree with you on Weld County Garage Truck City...at least parts and service...they were mighty proud of their trucks when I wanted to order though. :smash:

Since I work in the big city I've also found Transwest GMC to have a great parts and service department.  They were even worse than WCG for only having loaded trucks at high $$$$$ though.  They wouldn't order a 2WD D-max for me at all!

When was the last time you ate there?  AT the eaton place?  It's changed ownership within the last 3 months and is not as good as it used to be...  :uhoh:  But the double tree Is a great place to eat.......  I really like there food. :thumb:

And ace hardware in Eaton is the bomb....  Gene the old guy in there is really cool.  And dave manages to find some good guns to keep stocked back in the back.  Yeah my dad used to order parts from Transwest trucks all the time.  Way back when they used to have a truck store up around the Greeley area but now they are pretty much all Big rig stuff up here in greeley.  Weld county garage just falls victom to installing to many bells and whistles, and they are a small dealership that doesn't have the volume.....  So when I bought my truck I prety much whent where the truck was...

OH and I have GM SUPPLIER DISCOUNT..   :smash:

Can't go wrong there find the truck and don't wory about having to dick on price.  I get it for 2 % over sticker.

Hey where did you say you go shooting at?

That's a shame when somebody goes in a screws up a perfectly good business.  It's been years since I ate there.

Dave at the Ace Hardware is an old friend, and if you descibed my truck to him he'd probably tell you my name!...One time he loaded a pallet (long ton...2400#+pallet weight) of pellet stove fuel onto my '91...which already had 800# of concrete block and probably 250# of tool box and tools on it.  1500 series pickups don't do so well with 3,700# of load, but the springs weren't bottomed and I made it to Platteville. After that I bought a half ton at a time, or used the new truck.

I didn't have a supplier discount, but I did have $5296.23 in GM Card Discount, $2002 "Overdrive" Rebate $1,000 Fuel Tank Settlement and $500 "Talk It Up" Rebate...plus I haggled down to invoice + 2% at Burt, so I did OK  :uhoh:

Yah you did ok there bud..........

I think I'm gonna have to pass on the Drinks over in Fort collins I've got a Basketball game that night up in Wellington at 7:00pm  Don't think I should go after drinking might just

Maybe we can hook you up with something later.......

    • Why does Mobil Premium cost 90 cents a gallon more than Shell Premium when their regular offerings are but pennies apart?
    • Was all the way down to $3.69 a gallon but then jumped back to $3.99 just because for some reason.   Diesel floats between $4.80's to $5.10ish a gallon. I even saw Diesel #1 for $6.09 today but nobody in there right mind even buys that in the summer.
    • Mine just keeps lagging or getting stuck on the reverse camera. When I turn off the truck, get out, and close the door it will still stay on. It’s very intermittent and I would not be able to duplicate the issue.
    • I was checking out fuel prices at my farm fuel retailer at their pumps and yes the farm price is a bit lower than the non dyed fuel and was glad to see that the regular farm gas price has dropped a lot from what it had been but what blew me away was the price of diesel as the spread now compared to before the prices went up earlier in the year, diesel was actually slightly lower than gas which was a switch from the theme the last number of years. However that sure isn't the theme lately and definitely not right now. The prices I will post are not from that retailer but just looking at gasbuddy for the main city in this area and instead of posting the lowest price someone found I will list the higher price ( and that may not be the highest price, just whatever someone posted on gasbuddy ).   So regular gas and there are a lot of stations listing the same price for regular is 1.68 a liter, premium 2.00 a liter. Diesel 2.03 a liter for a top price I saw on diesel.   Figures out to 6.36 a us gallon Canadian funds for regular and 7.68 for diesel. With the US exchange rate it would be 4.58 us for regular and 5.53 for diesel.    Thought I would figure that out to get a picture of what it settles out like compared to various US prices and its about the same as the current price in Fairbanks AK as Anchorage tends to be lower. So yes, these would be the prices and higher along the way on the Alaska highway where they know they have a captured market !, for fuel prices for those beginning the long drive back to the lower 48   The problem is our Canadian dollar and going to the states that have the high prices, boy do we pay then !
    • Just wanted to get a idea of how many of you still have problems with your radio cutting out during the first few minutes of driving, my 2024 GMC Sierra still does this after a little over 2 years of complaining to my dealer about it, and OTA updates no longer complete, the check for updates in settings is greyed out for the second time while trying to install a update, my dealer took about a week to play around with it the first time this happened, and somehow got the check for updates to work, even though it would always show system is up to date when I knew it wasn't, now again 1 month later its greyed out again when the OTA update N25-F163BU tried to install, which ironically is the update to help with reliability of future updates.
