Recirculation button for AC does not work

The recirculation button on the AC doesn't seem to work on my truck. Is this a common problem or easy fix? Anyone know the solution?

 

Can the control panel be changed from the non digital to the digital controls? I don't think this will work since the digital is dual control, but if I don't care for dual control I wonder if it will work.

Should only work on defrost mode I think or vent but not floor that might be your problem . recirculation only works on certain settings.

Thanks for the input. Yes, I know that recirculation only works on the front facing vents and face/floor. My buttons change light to recirculating but the outside odors still come through. Can't stand the exhaust odors from other vehicles when I have the AC on.

Don't think the recirculation means the cab is hermetically sealed. It just means it will recirculate the air already in the cab. You will still get odours/air from outside, but more like a leak than a flow.

Technically the A/C is supposed to clean the air as well, but that only gets the dust, not the odours.

On my recirculation I get outside odors to . I think they will always keep a little bit of fresh air going in.

No. I read on another forum that the blend door and a bunch of other stuff is different.
