heated air comes out of vent even when temp is set on cold

I have a 2005 silverado 1500 and about 50% of the time as i drive, suddenly the air coming out of the vents is heated, even when I have the temp setting on cold. If I turn off the engine and restart, it corrects the problem. Is it a switch? One that I can change easily or should I take it to the shop? Thanks..

Do you have AC on ?

Is it duel climate ?

What position do you have the air blowing .... examples vents,floor,defrost?

 

I dont know how to answer the question but this extra info might help someone else answer the question.

You have an actuator going out. The drivers side is easy to replace. The passenger side requires the dash to be taken apart.
