Brake issues

I'm new on here. Not sure if this question was all ready asked or not.

I changed my pads and rotors on my truck and i'm still getting a metal dragging sound when coming down long hills and only after a long drive. Any suggestions.

Did you check the hub bearing? Did you check to make sure the backing plate isn't bent slightly and it begins rubbing?

If you're getting metal on metal sounds then make sure nothing is loose or bent slightly.

The dust shields behind the rotor are tight and not touching anywhere.

The caliper bracket retaining bolts are torqued down good, like 120ft/lbs or so.

The caliper bolts are tight, 25ft/lbs or so.

As noted above, hub issues.

You should be able to lift it, pull wheels, put a couple of lug nuts on backwards to hold the rotor steady. Then turn the rotor bu hand and look straight at its edge and watch it turn. If the runout is bad or it's warped or not held in properly. You can see it. You'll also see it running very close to dust shields or other hardware. With heat and expansion something is flexing a bit more.
