thats what im waiting for is for gm to reproduce a k5 like a 2012 oe something.but it wouldnt be cool in some ways cause you cant mess up perfection..

It'll never happen. 2 door SUVs don't sell very well typically. Look at how popular the 4 door Wranglers have become.

The OP truck looks like a single cab with a canopy on it . Then they put a seat in the back and some flooring . It would prob be kinda easy to make one if you have the welding skills and fabrication equipment. Just buy a truck with no box on it and go from there .

The OP has a K5 Blazer- a fullsize, 2 door Blazer with a removable top. That one is based on the pickups that were made till 1987. The K5 kept on going till like 1992 or so I think. Then for a few years they had a 2 door one based on the GMT400 platform that became a 2 door Tahoe/Yukon toward the end of the 400s. The style he has and the ones before it have a removeable roof too.

 

The K5 is nothing at all like a pickup truck- the body is one piece and you'll never make one out of a pickup body unless you have substancial fabrication skills.

I dont think it would be to bad . Little bit of auto cadd and some welding . In high school took a fabrication class about 6 or 7 years ago and we made a hummer H3 or H2 cant remember now out of a crappy old unina body car. Looked pretty good from a distance lol . The hardest part was making the hood look good in my opinion on that project 6 years ago. Making a truck like the OPs looks much easier .

Well yeah of course someone with the tools/skills could do it but we're talking about a modern version of a K5, not some conversion.

 

 

My point still stands, 2 door SUVs don't sell so sadly we'll never see a new K5 nor will the Ford guys ever see a new Bronco.

I would tradde in my 2011 Sierra today if gm was able to remake a modern K5 Blazer ! That was the most fun,best and coolest truck I have ever owned !( 1982 midnite blue mint shape no rust w/ silverado package )

Can't help you with a "new" K5, but I can help you find parts for what you have. Come on down to Georgia, there is all kinds of older GMs around here just waiting to be picked & pulled. I came across a complete & running '73-'79 Chevy pickup one day and all I had to have was a trailer (free truck.) It was gone by time I got back...DANG!
