Transfer fluid change.

I have a 2006 silverado 1500HD with the 6.0 and auto 4x4. My question is I have heard that Royal Purple makes an equivalent to the Auto-Trac 2 fluid. Does anyone know about the royal purple version, if it is a safe alternative, and what kind of results they have had?? Thanks

From all the threads I've found in regards to this fluid there is no "substitute" for Auto-Trac 2 fluid. I just changed mine out, it took just under 2 quarts total (probably should've drain it longer). Cost about $9 a quart.

That's what I have heard as well, just wondering if there is anything better.
