E-fan conversion

Anyone here done one recently on a 2001 or so Silverado. I dont tow with mine and prob never will, with that I did it on my 2008 TBSS and picked up a solid 2mpg with the conversion.

 

I narrowed the harness down, I have seen some reference the 4th gen F-body fans. What else is needed other than programming using HP Tuners (which I have as well)?

You can always use an aftermarket fan controller or make your own, using junkyard parts, google Taurus fan relay and lots should come up

yeah not wanting to go that route, I have used them in the past. They cost around $100 and are not reliable. the one I had died with in 3 months. Plus I still have to buy the fans.

 

I may be on track though, speaking with PCM for less and it seems all I have to do is flash the OS from a 2002+ silverado into my ECM with my VIN and then buy thier harness and a set of LS1 fans and I will be good to go.
