Removing passenger airbag switch

Recommended Posts

I'm looking into getting a cubby cam backup cam system for my truck. The camera is in the tailgate bezel and the screen is located where the switch that I need to use my key to then the passenger airbag on and off. Will removing the switch cause problems?

Birthdays coming up and that's on the list. Ill try to post pics of the system

Same system, but different wiring on a crew cab that doesnt contain the provisions for the switch. You need this switch, tuck it away your glovebox, I did this on my 01 a few years back.

Does the small switch area separate from the rest of that square where the quadrasteer button would be if equipped

Crew cabs never needed it. The switch is there for people who might have to put a baby seat in the front (ie reg cab or in some instances the ex cab too). So since the crew has a bigger back seat, the switch is not part of the system.
