OGM-1 Firmware reinstall?

Probably a basic question, but how do you reinstall or update the firmware for the OGM-1? I have looked over the manual and can't seem to find the answer.

 

I just purchased the unit and I am having some strange issues that I hope a reinstall will cure.

 

1) Sometimes when I am listening to the IPOD and I switch to Navigation, I get a memory error and it shuts off.

 

2) The Audiobooks on the Ipod will start out fine, but shortly after, they speed up and sound like the Chipmunks are reading..
