I haul a 16 ft horse trailer once a week or so, in fact did it yesterday with 3 steers in it on mine. Tires are within rating I just add a little air.

I think all terrains have a deeper tread don't they?

They do. I've always heard that, say, on a 265/70/17 BFG AT P metric vs a same size BFG AT LT tire that the tread will be deeper on the LT. Now this is just what I've heard. It could be completely false for all I know.

Well there it is lol. Looks like they do make a load range C AT3. But it's rated for around 100 pounds less than a P HT. that's wierd. Thanks for the link, somehow I missed that page. Looks like the AT3 is worth takin a look at for my situation. Looks like a nice in between tire.

Also check out the new CTS, It doesnt have a P on it so makes me think it is rated like mine are.

That looks like a good choice too. It's rated for 2600 something pounds, but the load range C tires are rated for 2400 something. I'm confused now. In all my searching I've only found a couple of load range C tires in 265/70/17. Everything is either P metric or load range E which is just too much tire for me. What's a guy to do that wants a good load rated OEM size tire!?
