Hunted them back home in FL for years. It's a lot of fun and can cause "pucker factor" on some occasions! Had one come back to life in the boat. Needless to say, a buddy knock it out with an axe handle. You have to hit that "sweet spot" with a .22 or a little larger to ensure it's down for the count the first time.

 

Lived in Shreveport, LA for a few years. That's a little too north to hunt the "land shark." Have fun and be safe out there in the Bayou!
