Bigger Fuel Tank??

I have searched and searched and can't find a larger replacement fuel tank for the 1500 short beds anywhere. I have found them for 2500's but thats it. My 2010 F150 supercrew with even a shorter bed than my Sierra has a 36 gallon tank. I get the mind set that the Sierra sucks gas compared to my work truck but its just because of the capacity difference. I'd love to have a 36 gallon tank on my GMC.

I don't know the answer to your question but a larger fuel tank would be very nice. I don't like having to stop for gas as often as we do on our way to and from boat races and motorcycle races. I'd like to have a 50 gallon tank.

Out of curiosity, what size of tank do you currently have ?

Having an oversize tank is nice though.....I have a 3500 Duramax so lots of options in the HD realm. I went from a 128litre to 234litre tank. I can travel almost 1000kms while towing. :)

But that's for diesel so not really much help sry.

The half tons all have a 26 gal (US) tank. I think that's like 98L for you in metric land. :D

I miss the capacity of the 35 gallon tank in the '90, but the fuel mileage I get in this truck makes up for it. Enough to get to the lake, drive a few miles, drive back and still have a quarter tank left. *Almost* enough to get from Dallas, TX, to Middle of Nowhere, KS.

Oh and longbeds get a 32 gal tank. I also read somewhere that the Ford bed sits higher and that's part of how they get the extra tank size, the tank can be taller and not hang too low. No idea if it's true or not.

The Ford bed does look like it sets up a little higher that could the difference. I drive my work truck way more than my Sierra and the larger tank really spoils me lol!

Yeah really don't want to add anything in the bed was hoping to just swap out the stock tank for a larger one.
