Starting issue

Im having an ongoing issue with starting my 99 Sierra 5.3l . The hotter it is outside the more tries it takes to start it. Turning the key forward without actually starting it a couple times usually gets it to fire up. However, the outside temp makes a difference. The hotter, the harder it is to start. With the recent cooler mornings we have had, first time start up. This has been going on 1-2 years now. Some have suggested the fuel pump but can a fuel pump be going bad THAT long?? I have checked the FPR and dont see any fuel. Could it be bleeding off??

Get a fuel pressure reading. Probably got a check valve going bad or the pump is failing
