2005 Silverado 2500 AC Question

My son has a 2005 Silverado 2500 ..the question I have is when he turns on his ac he only gets cold air out of the passenger side ducts and gets warm air out of the driver side ducts I have never heard or seen this before. So we where told to try shuting off the car and restart it.. so when we did it starts to blow cold air our of all the ducts... what exactly would be causing this your help would be very much appreciated.

You didn't happened to disconnect your battery for a period of time did you. That will cause exactly what you described. The blending doors can get out of sink by doing that. Happened to me one winter when I pulled the battery out while The truck sat all winter. Easy enough to get them back in sink tho.
