The radio on my 07 silverado classic is a 6 CD changer type which, doesnt come standard on my truck, but was programmed to work. For some odd reason, the time would change out of nowhere. This only happens once in a blue moon. I really don't know what is the problem. Can anyone help me? Plus the factory speakers on this truck isn't very loud at all. I put full volume and feels like half way.

When the time changes, does it change to 12:00? If it does, that usually means a bad connection at battery (either positive or negative lead), or battery starting to fail. I think the dealer can set the volume level of the radio with the tech 2 tool. It may be set too low.

I tried that at the chevy dealer and they said if they keep on trying to set the volume, it may lock up the radio. I think the service advisor is bsing me. He suggests that I should get better speakers, which I might do but not sure if that will help. About the battery, the truck has a new battery installed a while back. The time wasn't at 12:00. I really don't know whats the problem that's causing the radio to change time.

On a bad connection, the clock will reset to 12:00 and start running. If you did not happen to notice right away, it will be a later time. For example, if you did not notice and drove the truck for a couple of hours before noticing, the time would be somewhere around 2:00.
