Doors locked with keys in ignition

Hey guys,

I have a 2010 Sierra SLT. Got out tonight, left my keys in the ignition, was about 10 feet away and and "honk", went over and checked and yup...keys locked inside. Has never happened before, and to make things worse, i'm 8 hours from home and no spare keys.

Anybody know anything about this?

Had roadside assistance come out and break into my truck. Did a fine job, no scratches or wind noise. Anyways he knows of this happening multiple times on late model 2010 and 2011 trucks. Told me it is a software issue and the dealer needs to plug in and upgrade.
