transfer case leak

I have a 2004 Chevy Tahoe. My Transfer case has a pin hole leak a couple inches from the drain plug. Is there a fix for this? What can I use to seal the leak. What type fluid can I use for transfer case?

The real fix is the transfer case case half. Believe it uses autotrak II. Seen people try to epoxy them with no luck

Rebuild time. I have rebuilt several of those due to that issue. Chances are that running it dry has cooked everything else inside. There is extensive information on the problem in these forums. Make sure whoever rebuilds it installs the case-saver in the new case half. Chunks of magnesium in the camp fire are a fun byproduct...wait...I mean...no they're not...

Welcome to the forum. Just google "gm transfer case pump rub" and you'll learn all about this unfortunate GM problem. I predict a T-case rebuild in your near future...and make sure they use the upgrade kit. http://www.merchant-...pgrade-kit.aspx
