roof rack side rails

Hi,

 

today I've discovered that the head liner is wet in the left rear corner.

 

There are two possible areas what could cause rain water to get in. The sun roof and the roof rails.

 

The sun roof is still sealing tight. So I removed the rails.

 

All drain holes were clogged by dirt, pine needles and even little rocks. The screws were wet and rusty because the water was literally standing in the rail.

 

I cleaned everything and applied new thread sealant. Hope it does it.

 

It is just a reminder to you guys to check on the roof rails once in a while and clean it. Saves a lot of trouble.
