Hello, I am looking to start modding my Silverado. It's still under warrenty so am not going to start with anything to crazy.

My first ideas where to get a cold air intake and custom exhaust

K&N 63 Series AirCharger High-Flow intake Kit

FlowMaster Force II Cat Back exhuast

After doing some reseach i have noticed in America there is some laws that protect warrenties but i haven't really noticed any in canada

I also noticed that unless the damage is related to the mod that you will general be covered by warrenty

My question is just to find clarifaction on these points and whether people have noticed this parts cuasing problems with there vechilces.

I can't think of any way any of those accessories could damage an engine, unless they were installed by a grossly incompetent mechanic. Only hypothetical damage I could think of would be an air leak in the CAI system, resulting in the engine sucking in unfiltered air. No way an exhaust can damage a vehicle.

I've got that same intake kit, Corsa exhaust, and Hypertech premium fuel program with stock shift points. Been installed since the truck had 2,400 miles - it now has 56k & change & 5 years of use - no issues from those accessories.

An over-oiled K&N filter will cause MAF codes - that's about it.
