Moving topic to Chasis, Suspension, Transfer case section.

Sorry, I think you are looking at a full rebuild, me personally take your truck to a quality shop or dealer for repairs.

No disrespect intended but that is the rear end.

Ahah non taken sorry lol I don't even know why I wrote that. My front diff is about to explode maybe that's why I said front instead of rear LOL

It's a Gov Lock, this is what they do. Parts seem to be impossible to get beyond at a GM dealer even though the thing is made by Eaton. It likely would be cheaper to do one of two things. Find someone with a working Gov Lock they will let go cheap ( my 05 1500HD is getting a Detroit Locker in less than 2 weeks and you could honestly have mine....... We have the same diff being the 9.5" 14 bolt. My 04 ( same diff again) will be getting a Detroit shortly after that so I will have 2 I don't need) or replace it with an aftermarket unit of some kind.

The Gov Lock is ridiculous to purchase and it's cheaper to buy any aftermarket LSD that you can think of.

I went through Summit Racing because local suppliers aggrivate me. It was $675 each so I bought 2 of them, lol. My 05's front diff ate a bearing and I am using this as an excuse to change from 3.73's to 4.10's... thus a re-gear in the back and I will be adding the Detroit. My 04 already has 4.10's but with the turbo I would much rather have something else in the back of it again. That and I just plain old don't like how the Gov Lock operates.

You have a myriad of aftermarket carriers though whether it be from Auburn, Eaton, Yukon, etc. Ron's Machine Services is where I bought my gears and bearing kits and his prices are very good.

I'm not joking about the gov lock either. PM me if you are interested. I can toss it in a box and you just have to cover the shipping which through the mail wouldn't be very much. My new parts should come in while I am home next week and then I am immediately taking the truck to get the rear diff overhauled and add a different complete front diff. It's my work truck and I don't like using the 04 for that, lol. I will make sure that nothing is damaged, send photos if you like and then send it. My 05 has 106000 miles on it and the Gov Lock has always worked perfect in it.

The missing teeth are on the small shaft from the middle clutch cylinder, not sure the name of the cylinder and shaft assembly. Can this shaft be replaced? Or only sold as whole unit?

Like mentioned you can probably replace whatever parts you want individually in the unit itself.. the problem is finding a supplier for the parts at a price less than any aftermarket limited slip or locker.
