Lost My Air Filter Meter!

Recommended Posts

Posted

So I replaced my air filter yesterday with a K&N filter element that I bought at a local auto parts store.  As I was getting ready to unscrew the top of the filter box, I noticed that the little pop gauge that tells you when to change your air filter had disappeared-and the hole that it was it fed unfiltered air right into the MAF!

Boy-it's a good thing that it's been REAL SALTY around here with lots of salty slush and road spray.  The air filter box was covered with salt dust.  I wonder how salt dust looks as it combusts in a 4.25" cylinder bore . . .  :jester:

Needless to say, I found the 45,893rd use for duct tape-

Dont sound too good!  just replace the whole airbox with a K&N GenII, then you dont need that little thingy, and it will breathe better, keep cooler and give you more horse. Best of all, it sounds MEAN!
