FRONT END NOISE

Welcome to the forum...  :jester:

Just a quick note; capital letters indicates shouting, so it's best not to use them.

We'll need to know the make, model and year of your truck in order to be of assistance. Also, make the problem description as detailed as possible.

Like Jim said, a little more info would help such as: Year, model, mileage, mileage since last front end lube.

Could be loose hardware, lack of lubrication or suspension componant failure. ???

This was the information sent to me via email:

"sorry for the caps jim  2001 chevy silverado 3500 cab chassis with duramax/allison 2 wheel drive  load clunking noise when going into reverse with the front wheels at a slight angle"

Where's the sound coming from, the front or the back of the truck? If it's the front it might be a bad steering intermediate shaft. If it's the back of the truck it could be a universal joint, or maybe some play in the driveline. Do you feel anything in the steering wheel? Does the truck lurch or jump when this happens?
