Parting out Accessories

Recommended Posts

OK, Ive just about decided that I want to downsize my truck. As much as I hate to, it would just make things more efficient for me and the family. Probably looking at taking the body lift off, swapping out the bumpers (front and rear) for some factory replacements, and downsizing my tires to a 285, or the factory 265.

Would anyone be interested in these parts?

Parts for sale are as follows.

3" Performance Accessories body lift. Comes with all tha hardware and connectors that came in the kit, as far as I know. The lift is still on my truck, but will be removed using the instructions to get all the bolt-on parts back off. Ill even throw in my homemade rear gap guards that are made of steel and painted black, that can be screwed or pop-riveted into place. Performace Acessorise sells the rubber ones for $70 or more a set, but Ill give you the steel ones for free - $200

Front bumper made to fit with body lift - $200 or trade foryour factory bumper and cash

Rear bumper with tire carrier built in. Carrier will fit a 37" tire. Also made to fit a 3" body lift. Even fits the factory trailer plug so no adapters are needed. $400 or will trade for factory bumper, receiver, and tire winch plus some cash.

Wheel to wheel cab steps made to mount to cab mounts, so no drilling is required. Also fits with a 3" body lift. They make entry and exit into the truck much easier, will save your seats from premature wear do to sliding out, and help hide the fram that hangs out once the body lift is installed. - $100

Bumpers can be easily modified to fit a truck without a BL.

All parts are for sale in the Nacogdoches Tx area.

Hate to see you part out such an awesome looking truck, but sometime's you gotta do what you gotta do. Good luck with the selling since I have no use for anything since I have a 2WD.

Well, Im still not certain I WANT to sell, so Im not gonna push really hard for now. But, I guess if it sells I will have an excuse to work on the truck. I think thats my favorite part anyway.

I wonder if Im talking myself into it just because Im bored but cant afford a new one to play with. Hmmmmmm.

Would love the bumpers, but don't need the truck to get any longer... lol Thats a good looking ride, I would have a hard time tearing back down.

Yeah, Its hard to do, which is why Im only going to do it if someone takes the whole package. I cant part it out because that would require other modifications to be done. If I sold the bumpers, Ide have to modify the front frame rails to fit the bumper brackets for the body lift and replace the rear bumper brackets. If I took the lift off, I would have to modify the bumpers to fit without the lift.

If someone offered to take it all, and give me their old parts, then all I had to do was get smaller tires before the teardown.

Sorry KS, to answer your question, no. The camper is staying. It wont require any modifications to keep it without the lift.

OK, I put some numbers on paper and did some calculating, and have determined what I can give in the way of discounts for factory parts. So, see the following list for prices with and without factory parts to trade.

Front Bumper - $200, or $100 if you leave your factory bumper

Back Bumper (reduced) - $350, or take off $100 if you leave your factory bumper, $50 if you leave your factory spare tire winch, and $100 if you leave your factory receiver hitch. Thats only $100 for the bumper if you leave all three parts listed.

Side steps (reduced) - $75, sorry but I dont need any other parts for trade on these.

Performance Accessories 3" body lift - $200 including my custom made gap guards, and I will help you put it on if you have a free Saturday. Ill even supply the shop and tools.

That looks to me to be around $475 for the whole setup if you leave the factory parts with me. The body lift alone cost me $385. Let me know if anyone is interested.

I know its a long shot given that Im talking to a nationwide crowd about a body style that is over 6 years old, but surely someone wants to run some bigger tires. Maybe someone on a 6" wants to run some 37s?
