Wheel choices for 2500HD 2011+ ? to use with BDS 6.5"

Needs to be cranked. You're not getting 6.5" of lift as it sits.

That looks great! However, I also think it would look even better if you cranked the t-bars in the front just a little bit. Plus, you may be able to get your mud flaps back on then.

well I just got hit with a bill from the BDS dealer for alignment. balance and moving my TPMS from the 4 factory tires to the new rims, plus they had to remove the balance powder. 319$ plus tax, now with that said I paid 2508$ plus tax for the BDS lift including FOX shocks with boots and 9500 stainless steering stabilizer. Mind you I only have 3 inch blocks in the rear. I might switch them to 4" and crank the t bars. Now the reason for not running the 5 inch block and turning it up is the snowplow.

I think that is because I got the lift the fox shocks, boots, and the 9500 stablizer, installed for 2508. heck I think he only made 300 installing it.

Id like to turn it up another 1/2" so I can put my painted flaps on, I wonder if that will cause me to have to align it all over again? It sure rides nice just like before, except the trails are a bit noisier than the Michelin's. but I knew that was coming.

You're going to need an alignment if you crank it some more, should of had them do it for you before you left.

Its a bummer, but better than eating up a $400 tire. Truck looks great though

Yup...should've cranked before you aligned it. BDS and other companies, for that matter, build there 6" kits based off of their 4" kits. So in essence, the 6" kit is a cranked 4" kit. I'm betting you could crank a couple of inches as yours is sitting now.

I would crank it but, it would make my headlights impossible to aim, I need to get the 4 inch block in the rear first then I can kick it up another inch in the front for a 48" fender height. my fox shocks are for 2-4" lift so I can go with a cognito 4" taper block I will end up with a 5.5 lift Plus tires 1.5, I never wanted to go 6.5" because I was not running 37s

48" up front with 35s should be right on at 6" on a HD. That's where I was with 9" and 35s on my 1500.

The bolts were easy to turn not much pressure on them at alI, turned the key bolts 2 turns fender height is about the same maybe 1/8" more, but I did take the slack out of the bars maybe thats why it was hitting?

till my cognito 4" blocks get here, I hope it don't throw the alignment off too much..

the BDS dealer said he would install the blocks for 40.00 then I'll run it up another 1" and get another alignment. I been hitting on the inside driver firewall plastic I cut some of it off.

Man you can put the blocks in, in about 15 minutes. Then crank yourself and bam...done in 20 minutes and FOR FREE. Then get another alignment.
