School me on coyote

I go for center mass too, even on a four legged animal. Canines are noted to having extremely hard head bones and have heard stories of small cals doing nothing but taking skin off.

I only wish we could blast coyotes where I live. I gotta go in the bush to do it. One time there was an injured crow on my dads lawn. I went to kill it with a pellet gun. My 22 would have brought the police to my door. My bleeding heart neighbour cried to stop me and then she took the filthy bird to a vet and before she grabbed the thing she called me a monster. LOL

The last coyote I shot was with a 300Win mag.... I won needless to say.

You could've hit him in the toe and still won with a WinMag. lol

Good Luck!!!

Squirrley, last time I shot a coyote, I hit him in the hind quarters as he was running away with a .270wsm.. rolled the lil thing twice on a partial uphill lol.

My house is surrounded by 640acres of pasture and fields. Coyotes are everywhere. I hear them in my yard every night. They haven't really been a problem yet(coyotes don't bother our cattle since we don't have calves) but I plan on getting a dog this summer, so I think I'm gonna have to start thinning the population. I've only seen them in the day once, so I'll probably have to pop them at night. Might be a good excuse to get a NV scope for the AR :D Gotta be careful because there is also a pack of red tailed fox floating around my land too. Don't wanna shoot those, I think they are pretty cool critters.

My biggest varmint enemy are groundhogs. They destroy foundations like crazy here.

Next time you guys butcher one of the cattle for meat, or go deer hunting Sputnik, throw the carcass or part of it on a rockpile out in your pasture.. sit with your 300 blk.. and blast em from down wind..

We sell all ours on the market and the sick get buried, so no carcasses for me :( 300blk isn't done yet, but I'm sure the 5.56 will do the job
